TEACHING AND TEACHING PROJECTS

Taught writing and coordinated technology program for twenty years at Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Sciences in London, Ontario. Before retiring in 2013 worked on two major projects:

 

  • Using New Zealand connections, organized a group at Fanshawe College to assist Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand in their 2011 entry in the Solar Decathlon in Washington, DC which involved building a sustainable house and transporting it from New Zealand to the US. With Fanshawe’s help, Victoria University came third in the prestigious competition. View

  • At Fanshawe, researched, wrote and taught the first college-level MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) in Canada. In 2013, received the Desire2Learn Innovation Award for the work on the MOOC at their conference in Boston, Mass. Read about the MOOC below:
